My Greatgreat grandparents were Isaac/Naomi Haupu of Ewa, My greatgrand parents were Charles Meu Fong Chong/Annie Haupu (1892) My grandfather was Arthur Chong Sr. Brother to Cecelia "Kuulei" Clark a kumu hula in hawaii for over 40 years, who put together the record "Ku'ulei Clark presents Hula gems" by the Aloha Pumehana Serenaders (Darryl Lupenui,Wendell Silva,Lanakila Manini,Ainsley Halemanu..also she was the person that Songwriter John K Almeida wrote Ku'ulei Pua Nani for back in the 50's

My grandmother Anadacia Hoopii Masuda born January 6, 1931 in Kaupo, Maui is one of the youngest of the hoopii siblings. She was born in Kaupo to Bernard Pelanapa Hoopii and Elizabeth Hailani Haupu. Your site lists her name as Anadacia Matsuda instead of her real last name Masuda after her marraige to my grandpa Kazunori masuda from Kona, Hawaii. She has five children: Faith Masuda (Davis), Arnold Masuda, Naomi Masuda(costa), Janice Masuda (Herrick), and my mother the youngest Lizabeth Momilani Masuda. Grandma Anna has twelve grandchildren: Ka'ipo Masuda, Blaze Masuda, Jared Masuda, Kanani Elizabeth Davis, Kimberly Costa, Jordan Costa, Timothy Herrick, Seth Herrick, Nathan Herrick, Jonathan Matthew Keola Cravalho, Justin Mark Kaleo Cravalho, and myself Bethany Jaie kaua Kea O'lani Cravalho. I am 20 years old and live in Las Vegas, NV right now and attend UNLV. I was looking on google for family history using my grandmother's name and found your site. it was very informative. i was wondering if you had any family photos of the Haupu/ Hoopii family? For instance pictures of my grandma and her family back in Kaupo when she was little.

Charles had a sister named Lele 1867 - 1897 also from Lahaina, Maui. I believe Lele Makekau is your Great great grandmother, just as Charles is my Great great grandfather. I'll never forget the last reunion on Maui at the Wailuku Community Center when he attended, the reunions are certainly not the same without many of the Kupuna.
