April 24, 1942 - April 22, 2023

Leilani was born on April 24, 1942, at Hana Maui, Hawaii. Her parents were Juan Abaligio Sithar, and Anastacia Hamole Hoopii. Leilani was the sixth child of nine Sithar siblings, the first 7 were born in Hana Maui. Uncle Benny and Aunty Maile were both born in Spreckles Ville Maui. Mom's nine siblings were David, Nora Kuulei, Percy Maile, Juan Kailima, Rosario Leinaala, Olga Leilani, Joyce Leimomi, Geronimio Benny & Maile Sithar. In 1956 Makuahine and Makuakane were married in Spreckles Ville Maui and began our Ohana. Mom's livelihood was ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ.
